  1. I had just the best time, after I got over my fear, at the Fan-X in Salt Lake. Our wonderful first officer, Lt. Com Brett McIff taught me how to get on a Trax which included buying a ticket. How lame am I that at my age I needed to be taught. At least I can be taught. 🙂 I’m sure I was wide eyed as he took me to registration, which he didn’t have to do, but he’s just that kind of nice guy. After I had my feet on the ground he and his buddy drifted off and, SURPRISE, I did okay on my own. I did have to text him on how to get home. 🙁

There were so many wonderful, kind people at the con. Smiles were on almost everyones face. The speakers were great! I spent a lot of time in the Grand Ballroom listening to speaker after speaker. Tom Ellis of Lucifer was my fav. Dreamy. I also listened to Warwick Davis who was incredibly funny with wonderful stories. John Cleese at laugh out loud funny.

The dealers room was the dealers room, what can one say. I went with the intention of buying a hat but instead came home with a sword and a set of devil blades.

Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Depends on what you go for. If you want to people watch get a cheep ticket and look at all the costumes. They range from tilt your head and wonder to OMG that is so incredible. If you want more budget for it six months in advance. Advise. Put a smile on your face and keep it there. All the volunteers will be so happy with you that they will bend over backwards to help. It doesn’t matter if you stood in the wrong line for an hour and now you can’t get your photo with Tom Ellis. Smiles everybody smiles! A volunteer took me to the desk and I told them my story, with a smile of oh well, and they fixed it. Not only fixed it but took me to the head of the line. When my pass didn’t clear the guy said she’s going in and walked behind me to make sure no one stopped me. So, put a smile on your face!
